The new legend of surf music
It is true: the most unbelievable stories are written by real life.
At the mature age of fifty years, Pete Deal dares to finish his first solo record
which consists of outstanding surf classics. Most of them he composed as a 13 year old
teenager, living on the sunny beaches of california.
He was inspired by none other as the Beach Boys genius of Brian Wilson, who had
finished his teenage works in the last years. As an embassador's son, Pete Deal, whose
real name is Peter Diehl, was blessed with an easy-going youth amongst the musicians
of the uprising American surf music scene.
Due to his amazing skills as a guitarist, the "German boy" was accepted by the musicians
despite his young age. ....
One surf evergreen after another
The first impression upon listening to Pete Deal's solo records might be, that this is a
compilation of the greatest surf classics, but there is not a single coversong on it. All
tracks are original compositions by Pete Deal. ....
